Incomprehensible!
She laughs at me when I bring up the list! I have a list of questions to ask God when I see him. Questions about so many things I simply don’t understand. Questions about the human spirit and the ways of his children. Why as Christians are we so addicted to what we believe to be an absolute truth? There is no possible way to fully understand the bible and its stories and meanings. There is no way to truly know Gods heart or his character this side of heaven. No matter how much you study. No matter what education you have. No matter how many books you read or people you listen to. If you think you have even the slightest grasp on scripture… Christ… or God… my friend you are sadly mistaken! I have studied daily for the past fifty years. I have listened to teacher after teacher. I have read book after book and I have not even started to scratch the surface of the true meaning of it all. Albert Einstein said “its not that one thing is a miracle, but that the whole thing is a miracle”. Einstein didn’t even understand it all. Daily I encounter people who think they have all the answers to the biblical questions. They have fancy degrees and titles behind their names, but to God that simply doesn’t mean a whole lot. I’m pretty sure God doesn’t want us to know it all. Why? Because then we would not need him. Instead he wants us to live with FAITH – HOPE – and most of all LOVE. The rest is simply not important.
