Your True Self!
The true self is the Divine Indwelling, the Holy Spirit within us. The true self is precisely the divine part of us that is great enough, deep enough, gracious enough to fully accept the human part of us.

My life, your life, the life of everyone on this planet is formed and shaped by our childhood… our place… our tribe… our nationality and our traditions. Good or bad we all have prejudices, biases, and a view of life that differs from those around us. As we grow and learn we should never accept those traits in our life that do not lead to love. I always tell my family “if I ever get to the point that I don’t want to be better today then I was yesterday I hope God will lead me home”. I know so many that are happy with the status quo. Work is only about money. Life seems to be about how much stuff can I collect. We get stuck in the ways of our tribe and we lose sight of that which is bigger. We create mask and facades to impress those around us. We live in the past of our family, our religion and our culture. Never looking for something that brings us closer to love. If we move through life trapped behind these masks, we miss out on connection and intimacy with our world. In relating to ourselves and others, we forget the awareness and love that animates our true being. Paul says in Romans: “True self can only be found in the holy spirit”.
