Complete Trust!
Mother Teresa has always had a special place in my heart. Her work was that of God and as she explains it “I am simply his pencil, to use as he pleases”. She had many students, some were scholarly men of scripture. One theologian asked as they met if she could teach him clarity, and understanding to which she replied: “I have never had either. You must learn to live with God from a position of trust”! We are addicted to control and clarity. Searching daily for answers in a book that gives very few. I witness so many that think they have all the answers simply because they have degrees or have studied for years. I believe what God is looking for is unwavering… complete… TRUST. So you have to ask yourself – Does your God rest on correct thinking or does he rest on trust and faith? Most of us create God in our own image. We want a God and a Savior who thinks like us… acts like us… and looks at the world and its people the same way we do. We argue over interpretation of scripture. We argue over the words of Jesus. We disagree and part friendships because we differ in interpretation. When I believe the heart of Jesus would rather we say… “your truth and mine are two different things. Lets trust in God and I don’t have to believe that your truth should be like mine”. I have witnessed such anger, and talks of hell simply because beliefs differ. Mother Teresa had only six weeks of training. The rest was given by God. Much can be learned from that.
I Love You! – Perry
