Answering Jesus Prayer!
Some days it is more than my heart can carry, and time alone brings tears. My soul grows heavy and I look to God for answers… for understanding. The hatred this world has decided to make as normal, is so hard for my mind to grasp. Daily people being rude. Waving at each other with an extended finger. Saying hurtful things in an attempt to belittle another. Putting energy into devising ways to cheat others, and using that as a way to say “I am better than you”. People keeping score in relationships. Fathers who don’t speak to daughters because they were born in the wrong body. People who treat others with disrespect because of their sexual preferences. People who see color when they look at those who differ from them. People who think that simply because you are trying to better your life you should be shipped out. Family members who act with malice in an effort to try and justify their behavior. People who call themselves Jesus followers being part of the problem in as much, if not more so, than all the others. Hatred and name calling is the product of a trickle down equation. When those in leadership use such behavior it becomes okay for others to do the same. Whether it be a company… church… or a country, the leadership sets the tone for everyone else. When you make Jesus the only leader in your life your heart turns to his heart. Your love for others becomes like his. I pray that all people will look only to him for leadership. Only then will his prayer become true. “ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN”! I Love You! – Perry
