Rhythm!

Lorna and I are foodies.  Each weekend we search out new restaurants.  We like ones that are owned by a chef and not ones that belong in a large chain across the country.  We also love art.  We go to museums, we go to art shows and we hang nice pieces in our home.  We love the world around us.  A beautiful sunset, a puffy cloud filled sky.  We love our work and the people at our company.  We love each other and the romantic times we get to spend together.  God has given ALL of us an amazing world. Why?  Because he loves us!  He simply could have made the world ugly, black, white, and boring.  However, he took the time to produce a world of wonder and amazement all because he loves us that much. Now think about all the amazing pleasures God gifted to us.  Then think about how we try to suppress them. Many feel guilty if they stop to enjoy a sunset.  They feel guilty if they enjoy to much good food.  They feel guilty if they bask to much in the warmth of their lover.  We must find a rhythm to our life.   There is a rhythm that connects all things. All of these amazing pleasure are here for our enjoyment but we must find rhythm so they do not take over and overshadow God. When I look at Jesus life he found rhythm in everything.  Holy rhythm, like that of Christ, is what gives meaning to our time here.  Find your rhythm and you will have endless pleasures.

I Love You! – Perry
