Here I Will Wait!

If satan has parties, right now he is having a big one.  Social distancing… closed borders… walls instead of bridges… fear over faith…  no one gathering to worship… people looking every way but up… oh yes if satan has parties to celebrate victories he is having a huge one right now.  As he spoke to me of his fear, his comment was “it looks like we might need a miracle”.  The person that says I  will shake your hand in faith, thats a miracle.  The person that says I will offer a hug in faith,  thats a miracle. The custodian that says I will clean up after the sick people, thats a miracle.  The miracles are all around us… we simply have to look.  If you want to be the miracle have faith… and give your fear to the one that can destroy satan.  Our God is good, our God is faithful, our God is for us and not against us.  If in this valley of chaos is where I will learn of his faithfulness.

Then here I will wait!

Where Are You Looking?

Fear… simply fear!  Fear of sickness.  Fear of death.  When we lose sight of God.  When we lose sight of his son, fear sits in…. as we have all seen recently.

Thru the madness… I will keep my eyes on Jesus.  Thru the sickness… I will keep my eyes on Jesus.  Thru the attack by satan… I will keep my eyes on Jesus.  Thru the natural disasters… I will keep my eyes on Jesus.  Thru the loneliness… I will keep my eyes on Jesus.  Thru the financial hardships… I will keep my eyes on Jesus.   Thru the sorrow… I will keep my eyes on Jesus.    He was walking on water! How could that be?  Peter the apostle, as long as he was looking at Jesus, achieved the impossible.  Walking on water!  The minute… the very second… he took his focus off of the Savior he started to sink.  Only by looking directly at Jesus did he rise back up again!  When you lose sight of Jesus, you lose sight of the one who is in control.   When you lose sight of Jesus, you lose sight of the only one who can save you.

Where are you looking today?

Blessings!

Do you ever wonder why your are so blessed?  Do you pray about those  that seem to not be?  He struggles daily to stay healthy.  He can’t really touch anyone without gloves.  Hugging and kissing… well that can never happen.  Cystic Fibrosis has put him in a prison and life is not what he wanted.  She struggles to find her way in a world of darkness.  Brain tumors have taken her eyesight.  She will never see the beauty of Gods’ creation.  She will never see the face of her husband or the love in his eyes.  So many times I have found myself in stress… over such insignificant issues. Then God, in his amazing wisdom, puts people in my path.  As I look… as I see… I am so humbled by the blessings he daily pours on my head.  If you woke up this morning with the ability to touch, to hug, to kiss, and to see, be nothing but thankful.  Above all else remember it all comes from God.  He is good.  He is able.  He is faithful.  He loves you.  Despite the Cystic Fibrosis. Despite the darkness. They find joy in him.  How much more should we!!

Strength From Knowing!

Do you have the strength that comes from knowing?  We live in a season where so many choose to lose faith in God and fear the things this world throws at us.  It seems as though so many people worry daily about dying.  We worry about crime.   We worry about this illness or that.  We worry about money.   About who’s running our country.  We worry about who’s reading the bible correctly.  About who is our enemy.  We live our life, in what seems to be, one worry after another.  Christ said “who can add but one hour to their life from worry”.  Maybe God told us not to worry because worry is from lack of faith.  Worry is saying to God “we want to believe in you …that you care… but we’re not quite sure”.  I know it’s hard to have strong faith in a world that seems so crazy.  But maybe if we had more faith… the world would become a better place.  God believes in us.  Maybe we should believe a little more in him.

Look or See?

We all look but do we see?  Do you simply look at people or do you see them?  I know you look, so do I.  I look… I ponder…  I judge…  but do I see.  To look is to only notice the outside.  To see is to picture the heart.  To picture the image of God.  We spend our lives surrounded by people.  People of all different races, different backgrounds, different social standings.  We tend to  judge based on circumstance.  Based on material possessions. Based on appearance.  What if we stopped looking and started seeing.  What if we peered past all of the outward dirt and we saw straight into the heart.  We would see those with an outward appearance we are comfortable with… but a heart of stone.  We would see others who’s outward appearance gives us pause… but with a heart of compassion.  Thank goodness our Savior looks past the outside and sees the heart.  Thank goodness he was willing to save us BECAUSE he sees our heart… and not all the dirt.
