The Top Of The Mountain!
As a young teenager my father took me Snow Skiing. I was instantly hooked and from that point forward my love for the mountains has always been. Colorado brings peace to my soul and warmth to my heart. As I spend time skiing there is one thing that has always intrigued me. As you ride up the mountain more of Gods world is revealed. It is only when you get to the highest peak can you see 360 degrees, and even then there is miles of places unknown. So it is with Christ… his father… his word. So many ideas, thoughts and understanding that we will never know. Only for a brief time did we get to experience God thru Jesus and even then there was so much unspoken and unseen. To compound it further the bible is full of mystery, misinterpretation, and unclear ideas. Is there actually a hell? What is heaven like? Is it a distant world away or here on earth? What happens to our souls when we die? There are so many things we don’t understand or comprehend. Things that happen beyond our awareness and our conception. Why is it that anything beyond our comprehension and understanding scares us and causes us to retreat from discussion and thoughts? All my life I have sat in churches, read books, and listened to sermons, where spiritual leaders have lead us to believe they have the answers. We should allow ourselves to question… to doubt… to explore. One day we will be to the top of the mountain. Only on that day will we see clearly.
I Love You! – Perry
