Which Jesus Do You Want?
Jesus in Matthew chapter five: “If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two.Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.” Every time I get burned… taken advantage of… the comments are always the same. My bookkeeper and others tell me “you need to quit”. I have an open policy in our company. If you need help for anything legitimate, a loan is given, interest free, and payment arrangements are made. Luke Chapter twelve: “to those who are given much, much will be expected.” Please read Matthew twenty five as well. I think we have taken to lightly the words of our Savior. We have a tendency to skip over the parts of Jesus’ teachings that we think are to hard. The teachings that take us out of our place of comfort. I know christians who claim to know the heart of Christ and then condone war. Those that believe in capital punishment but read the same bible I do. Those that belittle immigrants but turn around and wear a cross around their neck. We can not pick and choose which heart of Jesus we will believe. Are you looking for a loving father who nurtures or an authoritarian God who punishes? Jesus did not come to hurt, punish, or put us to death. Jesus came to heal…help… rehabilitate… reconcile… and restore to us life. God’s idea of justice is restoration, not punishment. So I will keep on giving when needed. In hopes his message will shine through.
I Love You! – Perry
